"I was completely transformed during my Yoga Teacher Training. My mind, body, and attitude towards life changed throughout the 11 weeks. I specifically chose this training because Yoga108 is unlike any other yoga studio I’ve been to throughout my five years of practice. Yoga108 is a Bhakti yoga studio that hosts Kirtan events and international spiritual retreats. We learned about yoga not only as a physical practice, but more importantly as a spiritual practice to remember our connection to the divine. This training is designed to prepare you to teach, and also take your yoga practice to the next level. We covered everything needed for teaching, and also deepened our understanding of yogic philosophy and spirituality from the Bhagavad Gita. The biggest contributing factor to my success in the training was becoming part of a community of people who shared my same values of mutual respect, love, compassion, encouragement, intention, and integrity. I’ve never been part of a cohort of such amazing, wonderful people. We trust and encourage each other to grow and push past the limits of what we thought we were ever capable of. This helped propel us to advance faster and farther than I ever could have thought to do on my own. Coming to class every weekend was like coming home to family. The people I met in my cohort are still some of my best friends today and are more important to me than any of the friends I made in college. Yoga brings people together to celebrate love and life; nature and beauty. I can’t think of any other place that I would want to devote myself to."
